Surprise, Surprise...The Blackham's Are Moving Again!

Yes, the rumors are true, our family is moving once again. For those of you who have lost count, this will be move number FOUR in under THREE years of marriage! Through much thought and consideration, Jake has decided to leave his current job in the field of property management to study to become a pharmacist. Although it will be difficult to go back to school, I couldn't be more happy for him. For those of you who know Jake, he's somewhat struggled to find a long-term career path that best suits his many talents and abilities. Through talking with friends and family and doing a considerable amount of research, we both feel that this is the best decision for our family's future.

Unfortunately, since Jake received a degree in business, he doesn't have all of the science classes he needs to be accepted to pharmacy school right away. So, we'll be moving to Ephraim, Utah next month for Jake to start at Snow College so that he can obtain the credits he needs. We decided on Snow, partly because it's relatively inexpensive and much closer to his side of the family. As far as pharmacy school goes, we'll see where he gets accepted and go from there. Since Jake's brother was also studying at Snow to enter into pharm school and is leaving to do so next month, Jake will be able to take over his brother's job as a pharmacy technician. Isn't great how things work out?!

I would just like to thank our family and friends for their support and help as we've made this difficult decision. We couldn't have done it without you! Wish us luck!!!

I have to tell you that when Christian told me about this position you guys are in, I thought of what went through my mind when Christian decided to do Pharmacy after finishing his degree in Business. My heart goes out to you! It will be hard, but it will allow a great future for your family. You're a great wife to be so in tune with what will make your husband happy. Snow is an amazing school and from what I understand, the pre-pharmacy program is really respected by the important schools! I know that some of the most difficult times were when Christian was taking those pre-requisits. An end to that is near, and pretty soon, he'll be taking classes that apply to Pharmacy and he'll be much happier. Taking classes that he really likes will make everything go by so much faster! We're here for you. It will be fun to have you guys so close now. I'm sure we'll find all sorts of reasons to get together now.

Congrats on the news of another healthy, baby boy! I feel like a horrible friend, because I owe Emily a call back!! Can't believe that you guys are moving again! I am so excited for Jake and this new adventure he is starting and know that he has the best cheerleader to give him support! I know it will be a hard adjustment, but you guys are a wonderful family and school will go by so fast for Jake! Med School for Jared seemed so scary and long at first, but now he is already in his last year! I love and miss you all and cannot believe how big Mr. Connor is! Let us know of your next VA trip!!
