Happy Anniversary!

Wow! Two years Jake, can you believe it? I just wanted to let you know how much you mean to me. All of the joy I experience in my life, I attribute to you. Thank you for being the steady rock in our family and for always putting a smile on my face. You are such an amazing husband and father; I couldn't imagine going through this life with anyone else by my side. Who would have thought that shy kid I sat next to in business class 3 years ago would have made a girl like me so happy?

Oh How I've Missed My Old Friends!

It was great to meet up with some of my friends from high school while home in Virginia for the holidays. It had been about 5 years since I had seen most of them! I guess that's what happens when you decide to go to college 2000 miles away....eeesh! I need to do a better job of keeping in touch...

Rosvall Family Pictures

It's not too often that the Rosvall's are all together for a family picture! Here we all are along the James River in Richmond, Virginia...there wasn't one picture where Connor was looking at the camera. I think it's funny how he seems to be looking up at all of us as if he's saying, "what are you guys smiling at?"

Early Christmas w/the Blackham's

Last week we were able to make an unexpected trip to Utah to attend Uncle LaMont's funeral. It was nice to see everyone for the holidays. Here a just a few pictures from our trip.

Tribute to Uncle LaMont

Regretfully, Jake's uncle, John LaMont Blackham passed away quietly in his sleep, Nov. 29, 2007, in Moroni, Utah. He was born in Moroni, July 8, 1940, to Ernest LaMont Blackham and Olive Olsen. LaMont married the love of his life, Linda Allen, in the Manti LDS Temple, Dec. 19, 1963. They enjoyed almost 44 years together before LaMont sadly passed away. We will miss truly miss his love an influence.

Thanksgiving in Virginia

By now, Connor has become quite the traveler. He's only 7 months old and he's already been on 12 plane rides! This year, we spent Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Rosvall's house in Richmond, Virginia. We spent a day at the Richmond Metro Zoo; Connor really liked the giraffes.

We are very excited to hear that Nathan (Jake's brother) and Randi had their baby boy, Tanner LaMont Blackham, on November 12th. Mom and baby are doing very well. We are very excited to have him in our family!

Another Trip to Utah

Since we were already planning on spending the holidays with the my parents, Jake thought it would be fitting to spend the other most important holiday of the year (the opening day of the hunt) with his side of the family in Utah. Of course we dressed Connor in camouflage for the occasion

We also got to carve pumpkins for Halloween! I think Connor thought the pumpkins would talk back. He carried on a conversation with them for quite some time.

OSU Game

This weekend, Jake was able to attend his first OSU football game with his old college roommate, Bob who's in his 2nd year of the OSU dentistry program. It's so nice having him and Kimberlie so close! We're very excited to hear they're expecting a baby girl in November!!!

Sitting Unsupported!

Connor is sitting up all by himself now! He's about 5 months old here...I also thought I'd add a picture of him chewing on his toes; it amazes me that those chubby legs don't get in his way!

Kirtland, Ohio

Over Labor Day weekend, we traveled north to visit some of our church's history sites in Kirtland, Ohio. This is where members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered shortly after the Church was founded in 1830. It was inspiring to learn about the early members and their hardships. It definitely gave Jake and I greater appreciation for what our ancestors had to endure.

Grandma & Grandpa Rosvall's Visit

Connor in his new Jungle Jumperoo Connor watching Elmo

My parents were able to fly from their home in Richmond, Virginia to visit us in Columbus for a few days. Having lived in the west for the past 5-or-so years, it's nice to be somewhat closer to my side of the family. We had a blast while they were here; of course, Connor got some new toys and DVD's. We discovered he has a new facination for Elmo.

Baby vs. Wild - Connor's First Encounter w/a Lion!

As you can see, Connor isn't too sure about his new toy lion. We tried to reassure him that it wasn't real, but he was still scared.
